Fixing the small things of life
| Door rubs at top
- adjust top hinge by placing a layer of heavy paper behind
the hinge. Door rugs at top side
- remove screws from jamb side of hinge and using a long drywall
screw, tighten jamb to stud. |
Door will not stay
open - remove pin from hinge and bend the pin.
Door will not latch - move strike plate
forward. Insert wood (shim shingle) into old holes.
